From Insight to Action: A 4-Sprint Plan to Fix TTV
You have Tivalio. You have data. You know your TTV is slow. Now what? You can't fix everything at once. Here is a realistic 4-sprint roadmap (8 weeks) to turn insights into speed.
Sprint 1: The Audit (Measure)
Theme: "Stop Guessing."
- Goal: Establish a reliable Baseline.
- Key Tasks:
- Define your core Value Event (e.g.,
Report Generated). - Integrate Tivalio (or SQL script).
- Identify the Global P90 baseline (e.g., "3 days").
- Identify the biggest Time Leak step (e.g., "Email Verification takes 2 hours on average").
- Define your core Value Event (e.g.,
Sprint 2: The Hypothesis (Understand)
Theme: "Talk to Humans."
- Goal: Design the Fix.
- Key Tasks:
- Use VS Mode to isolate the struggling segment (e.g., "Users on Safari").
- Interview 5 users who churned at the leak step. Ask: "Why did you stop?"
- Draft 3 solution ideas (e.g., "Remove the field," "Add a skip button," "Change the copy").
- Pick the highest impact / lowest effort fix.
Sprint 3: The Build (Improve)
Theme: "Ship It."
- Goal: Deployment.
- Key Tasks:
- Implement the fix (e.g., "Add Skip Button to Team Invite").
- Ensure analytics track the new path (
skipped_inviteevent). - Release to 50% of traffic (A/B Test) or 100% if confidence is high.
Sprint 4: The Verification (Watch)
Theme: "Did it work?"
- Goal: Validation.
- Key Tasks:
- Wait for the Censoring Window (e.g., 7 days) to ensure data validity.
- Compare Cohort (Sprint 1) vs. Cohort (Sprint 3).
- Did P90 drop? (Speed).
- Did Conversion rise? (Retention).
- Did TTV Spread compress? (Consistency).
Conclusion: The Loop Continues
If it worked: Celebrate, write a case study, and pick the next bottleneck. If it failed: Go back to Sprint 2.
Excellence is a loop, not a destination.
